The day began late due to the meteo conditions. At 9:30 we met Mrs Hill in the garden club room. This club is quite important in Potsdam High school since they are harvesting vegetables for the cafeteria and they are rising animals. In this club, you can find giant rabbits, turtles, and different fishes. Mrs Hill proposed to us to taste their own Maple syrup. For that, they prepared and melted this syrup and placed it on real snow. After that you rolled your stick in the maple syrup. It was a great experience and it smelt and tasted good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La journ\u00e9e a commenc\u00e9 tard en raison des conditions m\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques. \u00c0 9 h 30, nous avons rencontr\u00e9 Mme Hill dans une pi\u00e8ce de l\u2019\u00e9cole d\u00e9di\u00e9e au \u201cclub de l\u2019agriculture\u201d. Ce club est assez important dans le lyc\u00e9e de Potsdam parce qu\u2019ils cultivent des l\u00e9gumes pour le self et ils enl\u00e8vent des animaux. Dans ce club, vous pouvez trouver des lapins g\u00e9ants, des tortues et diff\u00e9rents poissons. Mme Hill nous a propos\u00e9 de go\u00fbter \u00e0 leur sirop d\u2019\u00e9rable. Pour cela, ils ont pr\u00e9par\u00e9 ce sirop et l\u2019ont plac\u00e9 sur de la neige fra\u00eeche. C\u2019\u00e9tait une bonne exp\u00e9rience.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At 10: 30, we left school in a typical school bus. It takes us to the Wild Center. There, we met Zoomer, a kestrel.<\/p>\n\n\n

It was an interactive presentation that allowed us to choose our own path as a kestrel. We also visited the museum of the wild centre and had lunch there. We saw two otters, a lot of fish species, mostly trout.<\/p>\n\n\n

There was also a big project globe showing different features. We eventually find some recipes to make pancakes for instance : <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A 10 h 30, nous avons quitt\u00e9 le lyc\u00e9e dans un bus scolaire typiquement am\u00e9ricain. Il nous a emmen\u00e9 jusqu\u2019au Wild Center. L\u00e0-bas, nous avons rencontr\u00e9 Zoomer, un petit faucon, une cr\u00e9celle.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

C\u2019\u00e9tait une pr\u00e9sentation interactive qui nous a permis de prendre notre propre chemin en tant que cr\u00e9celle. Nous avons aussi pu visiter le mus\u00e9e de ce centre et avoir la pause d\u00e9jeuner l\u00e0-bas. Nous avons vu deux loutres, de nombreuses esp\u00e8ces de poissons principalement des truites.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il y avait aussi une projection 3D d\u2019un grand globe montrant diff\u00e9rents aspects de la terre. Nous avons enfin trouver des recettes pour des pancakes.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, we had free time in Lake Placid, a town that hosts the Winter Olympic games. We went shopping and to see the Olympic outdoor ice skating rink. We also walked on the lake covered by snow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Puis, nous avons eu du temps libre dans Lake Placid, une ville qui accueille les jeux olympiques d’hiver. Nous avons fait du shopping et vu la patinoire olympique. Nous avons aussi march\u00e9 sur le lac recouvert de neige.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At half past four, we arrived at Marshalls store which is a big shop with lots of low prices and sales. Pupils can find their needs and happiness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00c0 4 h 30, nous sommes arriv\u00e9s \u00e0 Marshalls qui est un grand magasin avec des petits prix et des soldes. Les \u00e9l\u00e8ves ont pu trouver ce dont ils avaient besoin et leur bonheur.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We eventually came back, passing through Saranac Lake and making a quick stop in the ice castle which is this year on the theme of rock music. Pupils can allow themselves to take some photos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nous sommes finalement retourn\u00e9s au lyc\u00e9e en passant par Saranac Lake et nous avons fait un petit stop dans le ch\u00e2teau de glace de la ville qui est cette ann\u00e9e sur le th\u00e8me de la musique rock. Les \u00e9l\u00e8ves ont pu prendre des photos.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
