The ruins are the remains of a huge Tudor mansion built in the 16th century. A long time ago, important people like Henry VIII and Elizabeth I visited this place, which shows how important it was in English history.

While walking around the ruins, we could see the old walls, towers, and large arches that are still standing today. The atmosphere was calm but also a bit mysterious because you can still imagine what the mansion looked like before it was destroyed.

We also learned that a massive fire destroyed most of the building in 1793, leaving only the ruins that people visit today. Even after hundreds of years, the place still looks impressive and attracts many tourists and school groups.

For us, it was both fun and educational, and definitely one of the coolest parts of the trip.

Nathan M. et Gabin

Notre visite à Cowdray Ruins était vraiment intéressante et différente d’une sortie scolaire normale.
