Today on February 21st, we spent the morning at Midhurst Rother College with our partners. We attended classes such as French, German, Sciences, Religion and Philosophy. We also visited the school. It is modern because it was built in 2012. We saw that it was quite big and we learnt more about the British school system. Then we ate together at the school restaurant (pork with roasted potatoes, peas with carrots and gravy, or meat balls or sausages with the same vegetables), it was very noisy ! In the afternoon we went to Cowdray castle but it was raining a lot so we had to walk in the mud on the way to the castle. We visited a wealthy house dating from 16th century, supposed to look like a castle. Actually, this house is in ruins because of a fire in 1973. For example, we visited the kitchen in the tower as well as a room upstairs, which are the only remaining parts today. At 3.40 we met our partners and walked home or took the school buses home together. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aujourd’hui 21 f\u00e9vrier, nous avons pass\u00e9 la matin\u00e9e au lyc\u00e9e de Midhurst avec nos correspondants. Nous avons assist\u00e9 aux cours de fran\u00e7ais, allemand, sciences, religion et philosophy. Nous avons aussi visit\u00e9 le lyc\u00e9e. Le b\u00e2timent est moderne car il a \u00e9t\u00e9 construit en 2012, nous avons pu voir qu’il \u00e9tait assez grand et nous comprenons mieux le syst\u00e8me \u00e9ducatif britannique. Ensuite, nous avons d\u00e9jeun\u00e9 au restaurant scolaire (du porc avec les pommes de terre saut\u00e9es, des petits pois avec carottes et de la sauce, ou des boules des viande ou saussices avec les m\u00eames l\u00e9gumes), c’\u00e9tait tr\u00e8s bruyant ! L’apr\u00e8s-midi nous sommes all\u00e9s au chateau Cowdray mais il pleuvait beaucoup alors nous avons d\u00fb marcher dans la boue pour nous y rendre. Nous avons visit\u00e9 une riche propri\u00e9t\u00e9 du 16\u00e8me si\u00e8cle, sens\u00e9e ressembler \u00e0 un chateau. En fait, cette demeure est en ruine \u00e0 cause d’un feu survenu en 1793. Nous avons donc visit\u00e9 la cuisine situ\u00e9e dans la tour et une pi\u00e8ce \u00e0 l’\u00e9tage, qui sont les seules parties restantes aujourd’hui. A 3h40 nous avons retrouv\u00e9 nos correspondants pour retourner chez eux \u00e0 pied ou en bus scolaire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
