We met at 8 am to get on the coach, we talked about our host families and left for Stonehenge. It’s an hour and a half drive. Once there we visited the site, the museum and the huts. Stonehenge was really impressive, but it was too windy and not pleasant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then we had our packed lunches and set off for Winchester. On the way, we had presentations about the Anglo-Saxons by Lucas, the history of Winchester by Cl\u00e9ment and Vincent as well as Jane Austen by Pernille and Lou. We learned a lot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Winchester we visited the Great Hall and some of us dressed up in medieval clothes. We had a lot of fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Afterwards we were given a quiz about Winchester with a prize to win, which forced us to concentrate on getting the information. Later we walked to the cathedral and had a guided tour and we saw the Winchester Bible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then we walked to Winchester college, past Jane Austen’s home. The cathedral was beautiful, but our legs were getting tired and it began to rain. So we went back to the town centre and had some free time there. The streets were really beautiful and the atmosphere was very nice. So we went back to the coach, very tired after that incredible day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nous nous sommes retrouv\u00e9s \u00e0 8 heures devant le car et nous avons \u00e9chang\u00e9 sur nos familles d’accueil avant de prendre la route pour Stonehenge. Il y a une heure et demi de route. Une fois arriv\u00e9s, nous avons visit\u00e9 le site, le mus\u00e9e et les huttes. Stonehenge nous a vraiment impressionn\u00e9s. Par contre, il y avait trop de vent, ce qui n’\u00e9tait pas agr\u00e9able.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ensuite nous avons pique-niqu\u00e9 et nous nous sommes mis en route pour Winchester. Pendant le trajet, nous avons \u00e9cout\u00e9 des expos\u00e9s sur les Anglo-Saxons par Lucas, sur l’histoire de Winchester par Cl\u00e9ment et Vincent et sur Jane Austen par Pernille et Lou. Donc nous avons appris plein de choses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Winchester, nous avons visit\u00e9 le Great Hall et certains se sont d\u00e9guis\u00e9s en tenues m\u00e9di\u00e9vales. Nous nous sommes bien amus\u00e9s. Apr\u00e8s les enseignants nous ont distribu\u00e9 un questionnaire sur Winchester avec un cadeau \u00e0 gagner pour les meilleures r\u00e9ponses, ce qui nous a amen\u00e9s \u00e0 rester concentr\u00e9s pour obtenir les informations. Nous avons visit\u00e9 la cath\u00e9drale et vu la Bible de Winchester. Ensuite, nous sommes all\u00e9s jusqu’\u00e0 l’Universit\u00e9 et \u00e0 la maison de Jane Austen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La cath\u00e9drale \u00e9tait magnifique, mais nous commencions \u00e0 avoir mal aux jambes et il s’est mis \u00e0 pleuvoir. Nous sommes donc retourn\u00e9s au centre-ville et nous avons pu profiter d’un quartier libre. Les rues \u00e9taient vraiment belles et l’ambiance tr\u00e8s sympa. Nous sommes finalement retourn\u00e9s au bus, tr\u00e8s fatigu\u00e9s apr\u00e8s cette incroyable journ\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
